My Thoughts on the Current Marketing Landscape
Something you may not know about me is that to get this art studio off the ground, I’ve done a LOT of research on marketing techniques and best practices. Not so much on the implementation side, though.
Why?
Because it involves shining a spotlight directly into my own face. I keep hearing about how potential customers want to get to know me, want to see the human behind the brand, etc. As an ADHD scatterbrain and general introvert, a lot of the current marketing tactics feel like my own personal level of hell. Hop on IG and talk about whatever pops into my head, no filter? No one wants that!
Epiphany Time
But, much like the launch of this blog in the first place, I am finally embracing the fact that I can take that rather generic advice and make it work for me (which was really the whole point all along). I get through most of my life with a soundtrack, since it engages just enough of my brain to make necessary tasks like cooking, dishes, driving, etc. easier to complete. Most importantly, I am almost always listening to something while I create art! So I figured the easiest way to let people in a little more would be to introduce you to the music I have on repeat.

What Can You Expect on the Playlist?
The playlist features songs from everybody from Olivia Rodrigo to Coheed and Cambria, so there will be something for most, if not absolutely everybody. And even if the collection isn’t totally for you, it still accomplishes my main goal, which is to share a little bit more of myself and my story. I stuck to one song per artist* for diversity’s sake, but I would say my ultimate favorites with years of proof behind them are Twenty One Pilots, Arctic Monkeys, and The Killers. So if you’re new to those groups and want to know more, uh, get me started on that subject at your own risk…
So one more time, here’s the link to sign up, and I can’t wait to hear what you think! What are some of your current favorites? Do we have any in common?
*(I may have snuck in a couple of cheats with solo projects from some absolute favorites)
